I’d have shoved that gun so far up that guy’s ass that his proctologist would need a metal detector to find it.

That’s a great instructor.Glad he caught that. I hope the dumbfuck is banned for life at every single shooting range.

I went to a shooting range in Las Vegas. I had a P90 rifle and it kept getting jammed, the instructor would make fun of me instead of help me with it.
However, none of the people I went with had the stupid idea to play with the guns (or take pictures of them in the range) We fired some really interesting weapons.

If I remember right I think it was this one I went to few years back https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g45963-d12931385-Reviews-The_Vegas_Machine_Gun_Experience-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html
Shot full Automatic guns. It’s fun but you get a healthy respect for the weapons.

Ill have to hunt down my grandpas M1. I shoot a 30-06 pump that isn’t THAT bad as the guys in the video. But most don’t seem to be set up for the recoil.
Dont get me wrong, i can only shoot 30 or so rounds before i am bruised and cant shoot, but thats because my pump has no cusion.
I need to go shoot my rifles again before deer season anyway.

Wow. That guy who stops them is a hero.
I don't think I would like working at a public range.

... And put guns in the hands of these people.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 20:11 |

then imagine giving them guns and smartphones? holy hell.

So did we, though it wasn’t that range iirc. We also fired a big ass revolver. It felt very powerful. I don’t ever plan on ever owning a gun, but if I did it’d be that big ass revolver or a Sig P226.
It’s really fun, but to us it was such a weird experience. Honestly, seeing so many deadly weapons being handled like ordinary objects blew our fucking minds.

I have just the shotgun for you. I’ve put maybe 10 shells through it. Where I’m happy to shoot my bird gun all day, this one just kicks too damn hard to be fun to shoot more than a few shells through it at a time. Then you have to clean it...

I would imagine the range safety guys have lots of stories to tell about idiots like this.

The guy was still actively looking at his damn selfie while the instructor was unloading the gun.
You can’t fix stupid but I would suggest a darwin award is a good start.

Can be a little nuts. There was an incident at one of those places around Vegas a few years ago where a 9-year-old girl lost control of her fully automatic Uzi and fatally shot her instructor. One incident probably doesn’t say much, but it does seem to speak to a certain carelessness.

I’m a gun owner and I cringe when I see people let kids handle machine guns. It is NOT safe. Adult men do not realize how weak a child really is, and adding to that, they do not have the training or mental discipline to get OFF the trigger when things start to go bad. Yes, machine guns can be fun and many small caliber ones (5. 56 or 9mm) do seem very controllable when things go right, but things don’t always go right. They can malfunction and run-away from the user (not stopping the firing until they run empty). Any person firing one must be ready for this physically and mentally.
I don’t mess with non-shooters much anymore. 5 0% of people in my experience will turn the muzzle on you either after the first time they fire the gun or if they suffer a malfunction.
I hope the range officer sent these imbeciles off the premises with instructions to never return.

That’s an oldie but a goody. IIRC, the rifle was chambered in .577 Tyrannosaur. It’s a monster of cartridge with 10,000 ft-lbs muzzle en ergy. .30-06 is about 2500 ft-lbs.

that sounds like exactly the kind of pain in the arse im looking for :)

I would imagine that those guys know morons or newbies when they see them, and keep an extra watchful eye on them. No way he swoops in that quickly decisively if he hadn’t been watching them all along.

Last time I fired a full auto, it was a lot of fun but the only thing I developed a healthy respect for was the price of ammunition.
(I already have respect for the weapons.)

Yeah, I know of some people that seem far too into the concealed carry/good guy with a gun/don’t fuck with me or I’ll “s tand my ground” mentalities. One of th em pointed at my head, and tried to laugh it off by saying “it wasn’t chambered...”
I don’t hang around him anymore, and I wish I'd verbally ripped him apart as I left . And I’m terrified that he takes his ten-year-old who might have some developmental issue to the range to “ teach” him. I mean if this jackass can’t follow the number one rule involving guns, how in God’s name can anyone ever trust him to impart it upon a child?

That’s a range officer that respects the responsibility of his job.
He is a hero.
